You know Brother, that is a little north of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina....I called my friend in Raliegh and he told me it was Lodge Golden Star #150 AF&AM, so i was pretty sure you were not from that group.

Still glad all worked out and you are able to use your own book. It will make for a great moment.

Congratulations on being accepted. It's a great feeling isn't it? October 14th may seem light years away, but it will be here before you know it. My initiation is on September 24th and I thought it would never get here. Now I'm just 3 days away and about to burst with excitement.

Actually, my initiation has been pushed back to November because the Deputy District Grand Master is visiting the Lodge in October and there is just way too much business to put through that night to include 2 initiations. I'll just wait patiently... I've been researching the decision to join for several years... one more month isn't going to make a big difference. It just gives me a little extra time to prepare.

Hey Hey Folkses, the time is drawing near... November 11th is the day I'll be initiated. It's been a long wait... I actually had researched this for 15 years before finally making the decision to apply. It's a great feeling knowing that it's finally going to happen.

I thought you got the kabosh due to The Book of Shadows and Wiccan association. Has that decision been overturned? Are they actually going to put a Book of Shadows on the alter? Let me know what they decide along with their reasoning.

A lot of people went to bat for me on this one. Those who knew me as a person helped out a lot and stood behind me when I said that I couldn't swear a hypocrital oath on a book which is foreign to my belief system. They are going to allow me to swear on my Book of Shadows since it contains the lore of my beliefs, the names by which I know Deity, and the law by which I live.

I was at the point where I was going to withdraw my application because it was causing a rift in the Lodge, but I was told that this situation was a necessary catalyst. I sincerely hope that things work out. I'm going to strive to be worthy of all of the people who helped me get this far and also strive to show those who would rather I not be there that I can be a true and upright Mason.

It's a very difficult position to be in... They keep telling me that the rift isn't my fault, but I still feel bad about it. I'll just have to work extra hard.
