My name is brother Glenn. I hail from the Sons of Thunder Lodge #2 A&ASRM.
Raised July 19, 2008.
I have been reading & trying to get what i could from this forum before i actually started my journey, but this is my first post. I chose not to post prior to actually becoming a brother, as a show of respect for the brotherhood.
I am now ready to begin my journey on this long road ahead. If there is any general information any of you worthy brethren want to bestow upon me, I am a willing and ready student. i am proceeding with caution.
thank you for your time & consideration

The practice of Masonry is much like the operative art form from which the name is drawn. Each level of growth will better your skills and help you prepare for the next. Attaining the level of Master Mason, is an important milestone, but you can work and improve you skills and light for a lifetime. I say it often, but it is one of the most important things I have learned. The nobility is in the striving and not necessarilly in the succeeding.
All of the brothers in this fraternity are here to promote you, your achieving your goals in brotherly love and friendship. Learn the ritual, for in it are the keys to greatness; Learn the doctrine, for in it are the means to attain more light; but most importantly learn to love your brothers as yourself, for therein is the path to a better world.
I know I am an old "corn-ball" but I suffer from being a poet, a romantic and a 10 year old boy with a fishing rod...I am proud to be a part of this group, and I am proud to be called Sir Knight. Anything I can do to help you on the path, please feel free to call on me.
S&F,

As soon as you prove your 3rd so many doors open to you. You can join many Masonic organizations including those in red lodge. Always be on the lookout for injustice. As you know justice is one of our 4 virtues. Right now there is great injustice in West Virginia. Write the Grand Lodge there and tell them what they're doing is wrong and unMasonic. Some, including myself, have done this and signed their name. I was proud to sign my name to the letter I sent to the Grand Lodge of West Virginia. If the day comes when we do not stand up for a brother then Masonry is truly over. Our brotherhood has always been about loyalty to our brethren and doing the right thing. Can you do something to give relief to a brother in pain? M. W. Bro Haas and Bro. Bosely. | |
