Welcome, Sista Dawn

There are many Freemason fraternities that practice Co-Masonry (which allows women). I feel strongly that we should allow anyone, with certain exceptions into the ranks of Free and Accepted Masons.

Anyway, glad to see you on-board please let me know if there is anything we can do for you and enjoy your stay.

See http://dmoz.org/Society/Organization...d_Freemasonry/ for Women's and Mixed-Sex Masonry links.

Check the forum link to soc.org.freemasonry, or google back on that group for Janet Wintermute. She belongs to a slightly different Masonic order called the Ancient and Primitive Feminine Rite of Memphis-Misraim. They have mixed-sex lodges, although there are not very many of them. I beleive they have one in the DC area, and one near NYC, if that's any help.

I've just found out that there is a Co-Masonic Lodge in Sandy Springs, GA, right next door to the 'regular' lodge. Does anyone have any contact info? I'd really be interested in doing a habaitat for humanity project with my lodge, co-masons, and PHA masons.
