Lodge is fairly old dating back to 1695, there are records showing that it was an operative lodge these get a small mention in the new Robert Cooper ( Curator at Grand Lodge Scotland) book The Rosslyn Hoax.
I am 26 and only joined this year, i enjoy it very much and attend instruction class regularly. My family have been members for as far back as anyone can see, my uncle was provinical master of Perthshire West.
I have registered a domnain for my lodge and am creating a website. I have started participating in a number of online forums and have found it very interesting.

Welcome aboard, I wish I had more time to work on the site here but just started a new job about 3 months ago and it is sucking up almost all of my time for now.
There is a good book you might want to check out that has quite a bit about the orgins of Freemasonry, not the santized propoganda versions you see from these so called experts today on TV or books like Freemasons for Dummies (crock of crap).. .
The author is Professor Margaret Jacobs at UCLA titled:
The Radical Enlightenment:
Pantheists, Freemasons, and Republicans (2nd Edition)
It is kind of hard to find right now but I spoke with her via email the other day and she is getting ready to have another run done soon. You should be able to locate it at ebay, amazon or a library somewhere. Warning though, it is a hard read but well worth it, if you want the truth.
