I am a fairly new Master Mason only being raised April 28, 2003, but I am already the Master of Troy Lodge #34, Senior Warden of Wentsville Lodge #46, a member of a state degree team, soon to be installed Worthy Patron of my Eastern Star Chapter, and Past Venerable Knight of the Knights of St. Andrew of the Valley of St. Louis. As you see I have thrown my heart and soul into the Craft, but my most rewarding moments are when I help raise money for the Scottish Rite Language Disorder Clinic or help in a MOChip event to identify children so that they can be found if lost or taken. The main reason I became a Mason is to help children.

Congratulations on your raising Oct 19, 2006. You have a long Masonic life a head of your that will be very interesting. I hope you enjoy the ritual, and history as much as I do. My only advice to every new member is be active, travel, visit as much as you can, and help the children. Because it is the Masonic thing to do.

Traditionally Masons were leaders in their community but this has changed over the years and charity has become more important in somes eyes. While charity is an extremely important by-product of the order if we are not able to be strong leaders of the community then our ability to focus on charitable endeavors will suffer as well. | |
