It's good to know what is going on in the big picture of Freemasonry. Most Masons will tell you that their one regret is not knowing about Freemasonry sooner so they could join sooner. Life is short. Do not waste precious time. Jump in. The water is warm.

I feel I need to learn more before I make the commitment.
I also know that when I take the big step I have to give it 110%.
Between reading, meeting you fine people on this board and a few other places it will not be long before I will be ready to cast my shadow on a lodge door here in Prescott AZ.
I can not tell you enough how much I enjoy this board and Its members. I have found myself looking foreword to jumping onto this site when I come home at the end of each day.

Funny you should say that... I feel the same way. I check all the time for new posts. Go figure, I'm not the only one.

I checked into a hotel one time in Pakistan (before all this mess) and there was a sign at the door saying "All gunmen must check their weapons at the door". Needless to say I kept my 9mm with me as did the rest of the crew from my plane.

There was a bar I used to go into when the Ike (USS Dwight D. Eisenhower) was in the Portsmouth Shipyard in VA that had the "Check your guns with the bartender" sign at the door. Right as rain, there was a wall behind the bar, full of holstered weapons. Believe it or not, as red-neck a joint as this place was, it was a great place to hang out; the food was great (and bountiful), the pool was great, the beer was cold (and cheap), and the weekend bands were great too. One could enjoy it all as long as they behaved. The consequences of being a dissenter weren't, uh, favorable.
