The one thing though you "should" see is mutual respect for each others opinions. I'll be the first to admit my soap box can get quite high and scary to step down from sometimes. Even though I am extremely opinionated I am not without the ability to listen nor the ability to admit when I am wrong. That is what I hope will separate us from the rest. | |

And remember... Soap boxes aren't for standing on; they're for holding soap.

When the subject is near to your heart, it might cause a good man to respond a bit more candidly them social prudence dictates. The path to light is such a subject for many on this board, myself included. Temperance is part of the tenets of freemasonry, as is brotherhood and friendship. Discourse should be help to friendly and playful interaction like who can do the best job.
We are allowed to open subject here we would not in a lodge. It is good.
I sometime think we need a secure portal to allow us to argue ritual, because as times pass, we will likely have to consolidate the ritual and standardize things to fit a more homogeneous world. Things like the internet will make it hard to continue to live in our own little world.
Masonry is on the edge of a new resurgence and will have to grow again to survive, but that has heppened many times in the past and we are the lodge, so it is happening in us first and then shared with our brothers and so forth.
S&F,
