Talking Hello Brothers

Hi from Krickenbach, Germany....My name is Jerry Richter. I', 74 and retired from the Federal Government and from the U.S. Navy. We sold our home in Northwestern Connecticut this past March and now reside in Germany. I am a member of Montgomery Lodge#13 in Lakeville, CT and, hopefully, a more frequent visitor to a lodge over here. I kinda' got away from Masonry for about 23 years and I won't even submit any excuses. While in the process of packing up in February, I ran across an old dues card for my Grandfather...Did not even know he was a Mason. I have forgotten so much that I feel rather uncomfortable about going to a lodge. But........things all work out.
Bro. Jerry

Re: Hello Brothers

Welcome back Bro. Jerry. Freemasonry has changed quite a bit in 23 years and most especially over the past 3 - 5 years is seeing changes at a much more rapid pace than before. It is an exciting time to get involved again or for the first time. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to assist you.

Re: Hello Brothers

Brother Jerry,

I too am retired Navy and working on retiring from State government. Don't feel you can't take time to relearn all you have forgotten. This is a brotherhood, and we wil all support you.

I think it is a real adventure to go and live in Germany. My dream is to get a 65foot sail boat and travel around the world with my wife and kids, before I get too old to enjoy sharing the places I went while I was on active duty for 34 years.

Welcome and we look forward to having you wisdom and experience here, too.

S&F,

Re: Hello Brothers

Hi Jerry!

I live in Torrington, CT and we were practically neighbors. I was Navy as well, though I didn't retire. I'm the new VFW Post 9086 Commander in town, and just yesterday petitioned Seneca Lodge #55 for admission into the Masons. I'm looking forward to all of it, though I look forward to what you have to offer even more.

Welcome aboard!
