It is with great humility that I write to introduce myself here on the "Blud Lodge" forum, as I am newly raised Master Mason from Virginia, and have just recently attended two Grand Lodge sessions, one in Washington DC, and one in Richmond, Virginia, and I am truly appreciative of the Grand Lodges who hosted these two meetings, as I truly enjoyed myself at both of them.
I am so thankful for the Fraternity, and for the Grand Architect of the Universe, Who is its founder and true leader.
I am saddened by the recent news of Halycon #498's take over and itheir renegade leaders rash decision to leave the "Wonderful World of Freemasonry" and make of themselves 'clandestine' Masons, for such they now are, and will be until such time as they humble themselves and submit the leadership that they participated in duly electing at last year's Ohio Grand Lodge session. NO good will come of this rash decision to leave the Grand Lodge and reject their authority, NO good will come to the Grand Lodge, or to the brethren who have decided to hijack this lodge and take it into the unknown territory of clandestine Masonry. This is sad to witness, but there isn't much we can do for this lodge, other than to encourage the brethren who remained loyal to the Grand Lodge of Ohio to FIGHT for their lodge and reclaim it from those who have hijacked it and reclaim it for the good of the Craft, in the courts of law, if need be. They will be in my prayers, both those who will fight to reclaim it, and for those who have illegally hijacked it, and for the good of all involved, more especially for the good of the Fraternity in Ohio.
I am happy to report that the Grand Lodge of Virginia is in good shape, and we are enjoying our new Masonic year as it prepares to start, with our new Grand Master duly elected and installed as such a few weeks back. The Grand Lodge of DC is also likewise, doing well, with its duly elected Grand lodge officers due to be installed on the 8th of December in Washington D.C., and they likewise look forward to another wonderful year of Freemasonry.
Greetings to all legitimate Brethren the world over, if you're ever in Virginia, and you're wishing for some refreshment, and you have a valid dues card from a recognized Grand Lodge, please stop by Lynnhaven Lodge No. 220, and we'll extend to you a welcoming hand. Greetings to you all,
