I've seen it done both tastefully, and to the opposite extreme. I wouldn't get one myself, but I don't think there's anything wrong with it, unless it's a "HEY LOOK AT ME!!!" kind of thing. Just my 0.02  | |

Nothing wrong with it at all. A brother at my lodge has a rather neat one. Simply a black and white tiled checkered floor wrist band and in the middle of the inside of his wrist is the square and compasses. He is an older gentlemen as well. So I don't think the older crowd minds them at all either. In fact I plan on getting something similar some day. | |

I'm not into tattoos as if not done correctly, can be a botched job or one may contract hepatitis, through an unclean needle.
But if done correctly and placed in a visible part of the anatomy, can be quite good.
I think the inner wrist is a good spot.
