I am a younger brother, and I have never petitioned Grand Lodge for anything. What sort of meaning would it have for me to put a word in for Brother George Martin?
Why does the Grand Lodge of KY not give him the option to demit? Let him remain a member of the Grand Lodge of NY. It sounds like the man just got stuck on the wrong side of procedure here.

It is your duty to stand up for a Brother in distress, which Brother Martin is in right now. I have made my opinion known to them, although I doubt it will do much good but we shall see.

Of course, I cannot attend, being on duty in Iraq. I have requested that the trial be put on "hold", until such time, as I can attend, and present a proper defense. All requests have been ignored (not refused, just ignored).
When the charges were first brought up, the Grand Master of Kentucky directed my home lodge to refuse to accept any demit request.
Although New York has limited recognition of Prince Hall Masonry (including the lodge I am accused of attending), New York is required to accept any expulsion request, from the Grand Lodge of Kentucky. So, if I am expelled from KY masonry, The Grand Lodge of KY will send a request to New York, to expel me from the New York lodge, and New York will expel me as well.
Half a dozen masons from different states, have come forward, and offered to accept me into their lodges, and to refuse any expulsion requests. I am deeply touched by these offers, it shows courage.
Naturally, I am very upset about the whole situation. I honestly believed that I was acting properly, and in conformance with applicable Masonic regulations and procedures. The Grand Master of KY, is getting hammered from both sides, from Brother Masons who are furious about the fact that I associated with soldiers and officers of the US Army, who risk their lives here in Iraq. Traditionalists are also sending in demands, that I be thrown out of Masonry permanently. (interestingly enough, No Mason has contacted me directly, and said that I should be expelled. Their cowardice shows through. )

I confess that I am ignorant of how to appropriately contact the New York Grand Lodge. I looked on the website and couldn't find the appropriate contact information there.
Can anyone help me out with this?

There is no alleged violation of New York regulations. I hold membership in a Kentucky lodge, and the Grand Lodge of Kentucky is conducting the trial. The verdict has already been reached. The trial is just a formality.
Since Kentucky and New York are in communications, New York is required to accept an expulsion request from Kentucky, regardless of the situation.

I'm sorry nothing can be done. I'll keep this in mind as I travel though, maybe one day something can be done to mitigate such a flaw in the system.
