New Freemason "Moderns" Lodge to Open in Birmingham, AL

The Temple of Regulus Lodge No. 2 will be the first New " Moderns" Freemason lodge to open in Birmingham, AL.

"The Temple of Regulus Lodge No. 2 of the United Grand Lodge of America will start having informal meetings on Sundays at 6:30 pm in Birmingham. We will start planning our meetings to answer questions and to prepare potential members for our first degrees.

Dates and times these meetings will start to be announced next week."

According to Past Master G. David Cooksey - Master Pro-Tem

Since the announcement by the United Grand Lodge of America to the "official" opening of their doors they have been inundated with request from new and current Freemasons for membership. "We even have a couple of entire lodges that want to transfer their charters to the United Grand Lodge of America already and expect many more to follow."

Comments a UGLofA spokesman.

To the staff of TBL, it does seem to appear that history is repeating itself again and we have to wonder that with the dissention that is apparent in many Antient lodges today, will the outcome be different this time.

I'll make a leap here Lonnie and assume from the rolleyes that you are not a believer in the UGLAs claims. Are you concerns more that you don't believe what they are saying or don't believe in what they are doing?

It's interesting to watch and see what does happen.
