Grand Lodges "Stuck-on-Stupid"

Well looks like another Grand Master has just raised the bar on the stuck-on-stupid meter. When will they learn that this is the 21st century and it is hard to keep secrets anymore, especially when you are picking on the very people you expect to keep those secrets?

Freemasons for Dummies Blog has uncovered the story and it appears to be another attempt by a GM, this time in West Virginia, to show he is standing on a level above the rest of us Master Masons. For that oversight on his part we proudly issue him the Stuck-on-Stupid award for the month.

From our own research it appears there will be more to this story coming soon. We hear the GL is now if full lock down mode, to try and keep the information from getting out, even if it is an exercise in futility.

Dear GAOTU,

Could you please find it in your heart to give us some other story to talk about, besides these Grand Lodges and their injudicious Grand Masters, we really could use the break.

Re: Grand Lodges "Stuck-on-Stupid"

One thing is for certain, my dear Brethren, we cannot, nor will we ever shape the modern wolrd, and make men better if we cannot get along amongst ourselves and act like Men and Masons should act, that being by the plumb, and we all know what that symbolizes for each of us.

With Much Fraternal love, I remain,

Yours for the Advancement of Freemasonry,

Bro. Eric Martin

Last I heard, GAOTU is still working on the rain request from Georgia's Gov. Sonny Perdue. Once he's got that one taken care of, maybe he'll relieve us of the endless parade of grand lodge shenanigans.

If you live in Mobile, Alabama, I would suggest you visit the following site to inquire more about how to become a Mason in your state.

Visit the Grand Lodge of Alabama's homepage at:

http://www.alafreemasonry.org/

I wish you well in your journey towards the Portals of Masonry, and I suggest you download and read the following from the Grand Lodge of Vermont prior to proceeding:

Smile Invite Howie Damron out to your lodge this year! You'll not regret it!

Dear Brethren the world over,

I'm not sure if any of you are familiar with the musical talent or work of
Brother Howie Damron, who has been promoting Freemasonry through song and
has now released his second CD with many Masonic titles on it, and he's
really good.

He has written me asking if our Lodge, or any of your lodges would host him
in concert as part of his "Masonic Pride Tour" that he is now embarking on,
and he would like to come to your home town in the coming year to hold a
concern, which you can invite both our Brethren and non-Masons too in order
to help him spread the message of the value of our Fraternity through his
songs, and hopefully help him sell some CDs to support his family and also
bring back a sense of Pride in our walk as Men and Masons. I support him
fully, having copies of both his latest CD 'Hiram's Call' and his newest CD
I have on order.

To find out more about him, please visit his new website at
http://www.howiesmasonicpride.com/ where you'll hear part of the first song
on his CD "Hiram's Call", and he's a really a great Brother.

I ask you all as my brethren to consider hosting Howie Damron at your lodge
for a concert to promote the Fraternity and its greatness as part of his
"Masonic Pride Tour" that he is commencing in Florida on the 9th of
December.

You could make these events a public venture, and maybe he would make a
great impression if invited to do a concert in the open public during his
time in your town?

I thank you, dear Brethren, for your consideration of this dear brother's
great work, as he is a national representative of the Scottish Rite,
Southern Jurisdiction, and is now being displayed on the Grand Lodge of
Ohio's website and on the AASR, SJ website as well. Find more information
about him at the Scottish Rite site found here:
http://www.scottishrite.org/ee.php?/...d_hirams_call/

I hope both of you will consider including a concert by Bro. Howie Damron in
your upcoming plans as representatives of your respective local lodges in
the coming year. It would be a great way to practice what Bro. Damron calls
the "Successful Art of Gathering" and as he has recently requested, "Let's
set a show date there at your lodge for the "Masonic Pride Tour" which has
had me in 40 states this year and I will be in Florida on the 9th performing
for the Brothers and the show was set up by the Freemasons who work at the
NASA Space Center down there.
God Bless you Brother Eric
Howie Damron
Musical Ambassador of Freemasonry"

Re: Grand Lodges "Stuck-on-Stupid"

Why even have such an award as the 'stuck-on-stupid' award that you've created? If this truly is a website dedicated to the established Order of Freemasonry, why create such a disrespectful sounding 'award', or rather label, if you truly promote the good of the Craft?

Who is running the show on this site, anyway? Are you really a true Mason, making up such titles as 'stuck-on-stupid' and others for those of both surordinate lodges and grand lodges?

If I were to nominate someone for this so-called 'stuck-on-stupid' award, it would most certainly NOT be the Grand Master of Ohio, or any Grand Lodge officer in Ohio, or any Worshipful Master of any legitimate subordinate lodge under its Grand jurisdiction, but would reserve it for the renegade leader of the new Haylcyon lodge that just defected from our Order, and have made themselves all clandestine Masons.

Welcome Brother Snowmann,

I think it is wonderful to have "seasoned" brothers getting online. I look forward to hearing your wisdom on many of our topics. I just hope you don't get offended by the fever pitch we drum up sometimes in making our points heard.
