Join Date: Apr 2006 Posts: 102 Rep:  Rep Power: 10 | Authors Suit of Catholic Priest Over The Existance of Jesus Christ Gets Tossed Out  The atheist who started a crusade against the Catholic Church, trying to sue a priest, at Viterbo's court, because he had affirmed the historical existance of Jesus, 2000 years ago, has seen his case rejected by the judge. So has been said by the priest's lawyer..Luigi Cascioli, 72 years old, sustains that the priest, born in his same town and his own schoolmate, has performed an illegal act by violating the rule which forbbids to deceive people through fraud. Instead of allowing Cacioli to present his case to the Court, an order has been issued for the magistrates, to open an investigation to determine whether Cascioli has injuriated the priest, Don Enrico Righi. So has been declared by Bruno Severo, the priest's lawyer.Don Righi, 76 , received the news joyiously:"Thanks God its over", he has told Reuters. "I am happy it has ended this way. Just immagine what would happen if it went on".Cascioli,who has written a book:"La favola di Cristo"(The fable of Christ"),has said the court has not yet notified him of its decision. He also said he is not surprised and he will appeal. Cascioli is not worried about the possibility of being charged with slander. He sustains that to be judged for having lied, the Court must prove Christ existed."They simply don't have the evidence" he declared
