He lived in Mill Hill, NW London.
My father died in 1976 in Egdware hospital, London.
My sister & I are desperate to find out which lodge he went to, as it concerns our 92 year old mother.
We are trying to get her into a Freemasons retirement home in Watford, but we need his lodge number to continue.
My mother does'nt need any monatary help as she has her own funds. She lives in a 4 bedroomed house which is far too big for her, & is on her own.
I live in Spain & my sister lives in Switzerland.
Please help.
Kind regards.

That link takes you to a place to start. As Mystic Knight mentioned, your father might well have had some piece of paperwork (including his lodge membership card) that could give you a hint.
If you can't find a thing and none of the lodges seems to ring a bell, you can contact the Grand Lodge of Metropolitan London at this link: http://www.metgl.com/
They should be able to access records and might well be able to help.
If all else fails, you might contact the hospital if he was a resident there as often institutional facilities are very helpful and they are able to say that all of the residents from our facility attend this lodge.
If you have any of your fathers pins or such, you might post a photo and see if any of us recognizes it, which would likely be a possible help although one never knows and 1976 was a while ago.
I hope this is useful to you and wish well for your mother.
F&S,
