I myself being a member of an UGLE lodge have met some brethren from France during some trips. I realised that they focus more on Esoteric meaning of masonry than the exoteric approach we seem to cherish more in north america. Also They are a lot more secretive about their associations and their activities Vs, looking at Masonry in my city( montreal) I see that the brethren are more attracted to the big fame and glory of the past and look into benefits that can be gained by belonging to the fraternity, which disapoints lots of new members
Just my opinion | |
