Hello, I am currently living in Carthage, New York. I have been trying to contact some of the local lodges, Watertown Lodge #49 and Bethany Lodge #821 but to no avail. I would very much like to sit down with someone and discuss the application process with them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How have you tried to contact them, via email or phone? You can also contact them via the Grand Lodge contacts for NY. If you are looking for the Grand Orient then you should visit http://www.grandorientusa.org/ and use the contact there.

I apologize for not being specific. I have been to the site and found the lodge contacts for those particular lodges in New York, and I have tried both email and calling with the information that was provided. However, the emails appear to go either unanswered or the email address it's being forwarded to does not exist anymore. The Watertown Lodge #49 has a phone number and I've tried calling many times with no result. Every time I email Bethany Lodge #829 and Watertown #49 it appears the email address is no longer in use. From looking at the NY lodge site it seems that the contact info for both of those lodges has not been updated for about 2 years. Any assistance would be most helpful. You could try calling the Grand Lodge of NY for more up-to-date contact names.

I have tried, and they won't give me any contact information. My uncle is a Mason overseas and I've been told to keep on trying, however it is rather difficult when the Watertown lodge has relocated and the contact information is wrong. Thank you for your responses though.

Well, it's sad that they don't keep their information up to date more or obviously care about new candidates. It is par of many of the antient lodges though, hello 21st century.
