Masonic Recognition

All,

As what many of you would call an " Antient" Mason, I follow my Grand Lodge's dictate that other Masonic groups (besides Prince Hall Masons) are unrecognized. That's fine for me. I understand my GL's reasons for doing so... just as I understand the reasoning behinfd other points of view.

My question is this: in a perfect world, what kind of recognition would you support?

Full recognition, visitation, a simple nod to existence?

Here is my take.

Once upon a time, a was a restaurant manager for McDOnald's. There were 7 or 8 of them in my town, and 3 or 4 in the next town over.

Were we franchised by the same company? Yup. Sell the same products? Yup. To an outsider were we pretty much the same? Yup.

But... if I needed to borrow product, could I do it from one of these other restaurants? Nope. Could I borrow a person if I needed to fill a shift? Nope. Could I talk about specific numbers with them? Nope.

We are all "franchised" by the Great Architect, whether as a Mason or not. Let us work together by whatever means our GLs (and our consciences) allow and dictate.

Peace,
