I have a somewhat odd request. I have discovered that after leaving my Navy officers uniform in the closet for 16 years it is smaller than it used to be. It could not be that I have put on a few pounds....well maybe.
I am looking for a Templar Uniform or a Navy Chief or Officer Service Dress Blue Uniform size 41R or 42R, trouser with a 34 or 35 waist. I would like to purchase one if someone has it in their closet and has no use for it.
I realize this is not a board for buying and selling but I am getting pretty concerned since next week I will take a position as an officer in my commandry and I have yet to find a uniform that will fit.
I am willing to pay a fair price, and I guess worst case I could go to Norfolk and buy a new one in the uniform shop for about $250, but it seems sort of a waste since I am certain there are lots of them just sitting in closets (like mine was) that can be of no further use to their owners. (If you want to swap you can have mine so you will know there is still a set of Dress Blues in the closet, in case they ever let all of us old officers back into the Navy...just kidding)
Thanks Brothers, I am trying lots of places but have been without luck so far.
F&S,
