| Re: Brother Frank Hass address to the Philalethes Society Feb. 2008 They're still fighting the Civil War in West Virginia and Kentucky. No one told them it ended in April 1865. What is happening in West Virginia is a horrific abuse of power and a perversion of Masonry. None of us should have to stomach it. GM Charlie Montgomery does not realize the legacy that this dishonourable action will leave with him. Worse yet, he does not seem to realize or care what damage this action will have on Masonry in general.
I'm sorry, but we cannot move ahead until this INJUSTICE is remedied. It is not M. W. Haas that deserves to be expelled. All that he did was done by Masonic process and then later undone by unMasonic misdeed. It is a stain on West Virginia that may never wash clean and a shame to Masonry everywhere. Now they are practicing revisionist history in West Virginia. Don't you know M. W. Haas was never a Grand Master? The erasure continues. How low will they stoop?
Those Masons, regardless of jurisdiction, that hear about this and do nothing are even worse. You cannot simply say "oh that's how they are over there." Evil triumphs when "good men" do nothing. |
