| Religous Confucianism Hello everyone / First Post-
Hello - I am a newish mason (3 years) who joined a lodge of older masons, I being 30 years younger than most members. We immediately started moving though the lodge. We struggle to get 7 together for a meeting having 15 members in total (who still live here). I was raised Roman Catholic although I never was confirmed. My parents split and mother became methodist (small m) and father die hard Irish Roman Catholic - doesn't like masons as moms new husband (now "methodist" is a mason was Episcopalian. Which is who's actions as a role model eventually led me to want to be a mason. I have studied Buddhism and believe more closely to a Confucian belief system - although practice no religion publicly. I am finding it difficult to relate as most in my lodge are Methodists. Not to mention they are German and I am an Irish, Irish Roman Catholic Mason. Does it make sense for me to be conflicted? Is this common? I am nervous just posting the question. I can delete if necessary. |
