Re: Fraternal Greetings

Hello, Dale. I don't have a plane but I do have plans for a wood airframe Super Cub that I obtained through Light Miniature Aircraft, in SC. The owner, a man named Fred McCallum, also a Brother, estimates the airframe cost in materials to be somewhere in the neighborhood of not more than $4,000., USD.

I suppose the higher end of that would someone who chose to build with spruce rather than a cheaper alternative like juniper. In any event, there are several, home-built-from-plans Super Cubs flying about. Also, it's a full scale aircraft; not reduced scale like so many others.

I got a real charge out of that plane on the cover of AOPA Pilot back in the April '07 issue. The Sky Arrow 600 Sport. Wow, that thing looks like it would be a blast to fly! It reminds of the Kolb Aircraft series of planes. Anyway, sorry for being long-winded. Great Blessings!
