Many masonic organizations are male only, but not all. I suggest you do some research here.

Yes, different states age limits vary but also by system also. When I say "system" I'm referring to what group you belong to. Typically you are either an
Antient Mason or a
Modern Mason.

Yes this is a requirement but I can speak from first hand experience, this is not the case. Our West gate has been open waaaayyy toooo long. The night I was made an EA one of the brothers there was wearing an ankle bracelet. So again research do your homework and find out about the brothers where you are joining.

Oh boy this one really gets me. I've seen even District Lectures who say the same thing. This cannot be farther from the truth, again it depends on which system you join and the brothers in your lodge.
